Who I am

​

My name is Samuel Madrid and I've been a real estate investor since 1994. Small apartment units, multiple duplexes and single family residential properties are all part of my portfolio. I've purchased and managed more than 1,000 doors over the course of my years in business. Through my companies Hacienda Propiedades and Saltillo Co. Note Servicing & Management, I presently own and manage over 450 doors, including duplexes, single family residences, and owner financed mortgages.

 

Throughout my real estate career, I've gained an extensive knowledge of the real estate market for buying, selling, and leasing. I strive to continually learn how to resolve buyer and seller issues to create win-win situations for everyone involved.

 

I've been on the board of local real estate investor associations, and have given many lectures on real estate investing to new and seasoned entrepreneurs.  I stay in touch with the real estate market and trends by attending numerous educational seminars and networking with other real estate investors.

 

I graduated from high school in San Antonio, Texas and graduated with a degree in Communications at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. I've been married to my wife Elisa for over 20 years and have three children, with my oldest daughter successfully following in my real estate footsteps.

 

I love to travel and have many experiences to share.

 

Why I do this

​

My passion is real estate, but not for the reason you might expect. Of course the financial returns and lifestyle of passive income are attractive to me, but what I really love about my business is that I get to provide homes to families who don't qualify through traditional means. With my owner-financing option, I am able to help these families stop paying rent and achieve the dream of home ownership. The smiles on their faces after we close is priceless.

I decided to create this platform to provide useful information on how to become a private lender. I have established a great many relationships over the years with my lenders, and I consider it a privilege to share the knowledge I have gained. With this knowledge, you will be better equipped to become a private lender in the residential real estate industry if you decide to do so.
